First, demo. Working around the water softener lines (and the Ford's exhaust system) was a pain. I knew I wanted to move the water softener drain and the sprinkler valve timer wires to de-clutter the wall.

Started in with the wiring. Just like the north wall, I added a fair number of 110V outlets and one 220V, then moved the sprinkler wires so that the timer could be mounted by the garage door opener button instead of right where a cabinet or shelf would go on the south wall.

Insulated everything, of course. Only a little bit of the south wall didn't get insulated, because I didn't feel that moving the water heater out of the way was worth it. That went quickly and I started on the sheetrock. I decided to use 5/8" on this wall because 1) that's what was up there before, and since I was only doing most of the wall instead of all of it, I knew there would be seams that would match up better with the same panel thickness, and 2) that wall gets the most sun, and I figured an extra 1/8" of insulation couldn't hurt.

That wraps up June.
